A new exhibit celebrating Canadian women of the stage whose talent was recognized in theatres around the world.
Canadians like Beatrice Lillie, Margaret Anglin, May Irwin and Julia Arthur were the toast of Broadway and London’s West End theatres.
But how did these women from Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton and Cobourg Ontario find stardom? The exhibit explores their childhoods, private lives, careers and celebrity
Coming to see a show at Hart House Theatre? The exhibit is available to audience members and the general public half an hour before each show.
