Mrs. Heaslip was a driving force behind establishing the museum. Her love of theatre and its artists will continue to be shared with Canadians thanks to her support of the museum and many Canadian theatre companies.
Colm Feore announced as honorary patron
Canada’s Theatre Museum is delighted that iconic Canadian actor Colm Feore has agreed to take on the role of honorary patron for the museum. Colm adds: “Canada’s Theatre Museum is a foundational resource for all. It showcases our rich cultural history and points toward a glorious future.

Canada’s Theatre Museum Announces Its New Home Within The Elgin And Winter Garden Theatre Centre.
TORONTO ( Thursday, March 23, 2023) – Canada’s Theatre Museum announced today that it will have a new home located in the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre.
The museum is in the planning stages of a $5Million Campaign that will provide capital, museum start-up and operating funding, and create a solid financial future by building on the endowment and sustaining funds.
Planning and design work is underway with Toronto-based international multidisciplinary design firm Reich&Petch.
